Jesus Died Songtext
von Heaving Earth

Indoctrinated, blinded by the light
Blinded to be saved from harsh reality
Let there be blossoming fruits to raise up to thy highness
Thy highness and eternal grace
Tiny immaculate hands of yours, the hands that dares
The hands that dares to seize the fire
Who were the ones, the malevolent
To bloodstain thy sacred skin with nails and ropes

Banished from the light, obscured by the love
The love that shines no warmth but ties and binds
Let there be spikes driven through the flesh of a newborn child
To shape us into form
Those blackened bloodstained hands of yours, thy art is nothing
This tale no longer works and thy icon crumbled from within

Nothing but fear and loathing that I′ve found
Deserted lands, void of life
Nothing but decaying splendour, deceitful lies
Oh hear the empty words of hope
Jesus died

Salvation is no way near
Still we yearn to be redeemed from ourselves
No body to bear nor blood
To wash away the sins of this world
The man who came to save us died
Under the rule of dormant and dismal god
Jesus died
