I went to see a Broadway show
When I was just 15 years old
And how the wind did howl and blow

When you′re up in Manhattan
There's no way that you don′t have fun

Yunno that in this show I saw
This guy snapped and broke the law
The audience was left in awe

He was an ambulance driver
But he wasn't feeling alive
A great plan he did devise
He parked the ambulance a block away
Robbed a bank and ran away
Hit the road and made his getaway
Cars pulled over and let him by
Down the road he did fly
At the hospital he could hide

And I know
Just a show
Still to me
This guy was a hero

Broadway play
So they say
Ain't free but still
I′m kickin it the old way

When I was walking around that night
I saw the beautiful glowing lights
The temptation and the time was right on
Broadway...
