Summer memories seem ancient

Far from figuring it out

Finding it hard to fall asleep
But when we do we dive in deep
Into the rivers that we seek to escape from
And we keep


Drifting away behind closed eyelids
And I descended down on top of a mountain
Observed the changes in the landscape
Then a deafening sound woke me up again

In the dark a faint light appears
And I think it's time you wipe away those tears
The wind, the rain and the earth
Singing songs that you have never heard

These songs will leave you mesmerised
So calm the rivers, honey running from your eyes
Led astray by enchanting harmonies
Like something out of ancient
Summer memories

The season turning gold and purple
And time′s just spinning around in circles
