Butterfly Songtext

Butterfly Songtext

I tried to linger
But i couldnt quite recall
The time and place
Where we both admitted the fall
I tried to know too much about the then and now
But now i know that it was always when and how

But maybe if stopped to listen
I would have heard your voice

But your gone and i cant say goodbye to what we had
Coz you won but you lost the best you ever had
But for some reason i see it a different way
That your wings have gone and its all my fault
And its too late
Like a butterfly, you went away
Like a butterfly, you didn′t stay

I saw you moved on pretty quick without me
Its kinda unfair the way you walked and you left me
But i grew these wings of my own, on my own
And ill never forget it
The way that you saw me

But maybe if stopped to listen
I would have heard your voice

But your gone and i cant say goodbye to what we had
Coz you won but you lost the best you ever had
But for some reason i see it a different way
That your wings have gone and its all my fault
And its too late
Like a butterfly, you went away
Like a butterfly, you didn't stay

Ah, Ah

But maybe if stopped to listen
I would have heard your voice

But your gone and i cant say goodbye to what we had
Coz you won but you lost the best you ever had
But for some reason i see it a different way
That your wings have gone and its all my fault
And its too late
Like a butterfly, you went away
Like a butterfly, you didnt stay
