The Seagull Songtext
von Halldor Mar

Oh my friend the flying seagull,
Spread your wings over the sea,
Swiftly carried by the strong wing
You fly & glide gracefully
To the bright & sunny beach
Full of sweet memories,
And waiting there day and night
Is the girl that fills my heart

When you see she′s lonely
Sitting by the still sea,
Give the girl the kiss
That I send her from my heart
Please tell her I feel
A sweet melancholy,
And I think of her
All night and day

Oh, If like you do, my seagull
I could fly across the sea
Till I reach the sand of that beach,
Where it is so sweet to dream
Oh to see the blurry vision
Waking up pretty as a queen
Of the girl who, between dreams
Is a gem to hold & kiss

When you see she's lonely
Sitting by the still sea,
Give the girl the kiss
That I send her from my heart
Please tell her I feel
A sweet melancholy,
And I think of her
All night and day
