Halting my every thought as the shape
Looks at me From a great distance
Elusive, it stays hidden in the shadows
But it beckons me
I start to move in its direction
Enchanting like a siren
There it disappears
Into the waters of the lake

Dead eyes meet my gaze
This cold reflection is staring out right back at me
This image, deformed and broken yet so familiar
Leaves me questioning my very eyes
This figure burned into my mind
My entire world is shattered at my feet

Being so pathetic, anemic and erratic
Reach out to embrace it
The ripples in the surface form its shrine


Looking deep into the unknown
Frantically searching for the face
That stands before me now
It has disappeared
Elusive yet I can still sense
Its eyes on me

Dive into the lake
Dive into the lake
These icy waters
Bring death and decay
Yet I feel free

Look for a sign
The darkness makes it
Hard to find the way
But then I feel its hand
Wrapping against my own

Being so pathetic, anemic and erratic
I reach out to embrace it
Stare back at my own face


In the depths of the lake
Our souls become one
As we dive deeper
The water surrounds us
In its icy claws
In this place
I′m no longer alone

For the shape I pursued
Has been myself all along
This is what I was searching for
To become whole again

Rise above the lake
