I get high, from running around the park making other people laugh
Taking Beers in the Bath
I get low, at the thought of growing old,
At the thought of being told, I′ll die young, bitter and cold
I realise that, my dreams might not come true,
quite as often as yours do, in this overcrowded room they call music.

That's the way life goes I′m told
They said I'd figure that out when I was older
But so far I only know one thing and that's
I just wanna be me.


I get high, when I see my girlfriends face,
When we travel to each place, to play music on the stage
But my friends, fall in and out with me,
They have problems with the being
That I am or that I′ve been, we might not get
To where we wanna go, but I′ll break my bank, my bones,
For my family, for my home, I'll try my best.

That′s the way life goes I'm told
They said I′d figure that out when I was older
But so far I only know one thing and that's
I just wanna be me.

Well I just wanna be me.

And I might not play Reading, and I might not play Leeds
I might not ever make it to Glastonbury
And I might not play Warped Tour, I might not make it
But at least I′ll have the memories of the things we did.
