Jack was always happy
Always in good form
All the girls they loved him
He really had the charm
Always making people laugh
With his latest joke
Everybody said that he
Was such a nice bloke
But was that all there was to Jack
No one ever asked


But Jack wasn′t always happy
On his own he would cry
Why didn't he tell anyone
He wasn′t that kind of guy
If only someone realized
Jack needed help
Because he couldn't cope
All by himself
All the time he was wearing a mask
No one ever knew
No one ever asked

Jack put a smile on everybody's face
But who put a smile on his?
Jack really was everybody′s best mate
But why did he do what he did?

Jack took a few pills one night
Before he went to bed
Could we have prevented this
Is there anything we could have said?
Well, there′s no point in asking questions
At this stage
For someone to die
At such a young age
And this guy really was a blast
