Human Condition Songtext

Human Condition Songtext
Well now everybody wants to be the big wheel
Running at the front of the line
Me, I just like a set of white leather tires
On the red roads up in the pines
Dusting my truck behind
Yeah, my boss, he likes to think he is the big man
Pushing everybody around
I′d like to tell him a thing, I wouldn't call him no king
But I do think he oughta be crowned
Someday I think he′s gonna get crowned
It's all I've ever seen
Just dog eating dog and there isn′t no referee
At times I′d like to scream
But the human condition is damn sure conditioning me
As a rule, man's a fool
When it′s hot he wants it cool
When it's cool he wants it hot
Always wanting what it′s not
I'm gonna have myself a lazy Sunday
Kicking with the run of the mill
′Cause in life's big dance we're just a bunch of little ants
All dragging stuff back to the hill
Just dragging stuff back to the hill
Running at the front of the line
Me, I just like a set of white leather tires
On the red roads up in the pines
Dusting my truck behind
Yeah, my boss, he likes to think he is the big man
Pushing everybody around
I′d like to tell him a thing, I wouldn't call him no king
But I do think he oughta be crowned
Someday I think he′s gonna get crowned
It's all I've ever seen
Just dog eating dog and there isn′t no referee
At times I′d like to scream
But the human condition is damn sure conditioning me
As a rule, man's a fool
When it′s hot he wants it cool
When it's cool he wants it hot
Always wanting what it′s not
I'm gonna have myself a lazy Sunday
Kicking with the run of the mill
′Cause in life's big dance we're just a bunch of little ants
All dragging stuff back to the hill
Just dragging stuff back to the hill
