The Devorah Song Songtext
von Franciska

Underneath the palm trees, I
Sit and wait for the people to come by
Giving them my best advice
And judging them as a prophet

Summon Barak, son of Avinoam
This is what God commands
Take ten thousand men, stand ready for war
If you need me, I′ll come with you

Don't be afraid, don′t run away
Be strong and hold your faith
This is the night, we win the fight
And now we celebrate

The hand of God is on our side
So let your voices echo wide
Everybody sing!

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Everybody sing along
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
This is The Devorah Song

Praises to the ones who rise
Praises to the brave and many tribes
Showing up with open eyes
We appreciate your might

But what about the ones too far
For those beyond the river, it's too hard
You don't wanna get too scarred
Now you don′t get the praise of God

Don′t be afraid, don't run away
Be strong and hold your faith
This is the night, we win the fight
And now we celebrate

The hand of God is on our side
So let your voices echo wide
Everybody sing

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Everybody sing along
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
This is The Devorah Song

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Everybody sing along
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
This is The Devorah Song

We would not have won if not for Yael
She sealed the deal for Binai Israel
This is the story our children will tell
In Shirat, Devorah

Friends all around and enemies gone
I led the tribes with the fire of the sun
Blue sky now, the future is bright
′Cause there is peace when we unite

Don't be afraid, don′t run away
Be strong and hold your faith
This is the night, we win the fight
And now we celebrate!

The hand of God is on our side
So let your voices echo wide
Everybody sing!

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Everybody sing along
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
This is The Devorah Song

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Everybody sing along
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
This is The Devorah Song
