Phobia Songtext

Phobia Songtext
What was that? Did you hear that?
I′m not walking by that house by myself. Man,
I'm scared, man. I′ve a phobia. Check it out.
These are haunting raps, what you think about that?
It's a daunting task, but we're on to that.
I′m seeing nine black cats with teeth to match,
Savage beasts wearing feral masks.
There is this house I hate and abhor,
I swear it′s haunted, yeah for sure.
I live among the impoverished and destitute,
The abject poor, here is the proof:
The domicile was derelict, run-down too,
It was a defunct school, no longer used.
Weird sounds came out from it if you listened,
The government demanded it, made a requisition.
They want to renovate it, you know how they do it,
Try to fix it up for the rich and affluent.
Yeah it's cruel and reprehensible,
Some politicians treat the poor like they′re dispensable.
Some wanted it knocked down and razed,
But year after year right there it stayed.
The house was broken-down, dilapidated,
It haunted my nightmares, oh I hate it.
My fear was exacerbated by this fact,
Made more intense by this fact.
Nothing could pacify me, allay my fears,
Stop my tears, assuage my fears,
Soothe me like Jimmy Page drinking a smoothie,
Before a show to calm his anxiety,
Sedate himself into a state of sobriety.
Hip-hop heads saying, "Who's he?"
He′s the ghost in these . . .
Haunting raps . . .
What you think about that?
It's a daunting task, but we′re on to that.
I'm seeing nine black cats with teeth to match,
Savage beasts wearing feral masks.
These are haunting raps, what you think about that?
It's a daunting task, but we′re on to that.
I′m seeing nine black cats with teeth to match,
Savage beasts wearing feral masks.
I'm agoraphobic: scared of open spaces,
Claustrophobic: scared of confined spaces.
So I′m doubly ruined, know what I mean, dude?
At least I'm diaphanous, meaning I′m see-through.
I live in fear, it sounds weird,
These harrowing experiences leave me in fear.
Stepping out the door is a strenuous task,
It requires strength like a canvas needs paint,
Or like ascetics practice restraint,
I wish this house was old-timey and quaint,
But instead it's all spiderwebs to the ceiling,
It′s making me dizzy and leaving me reeling.
This house is my opponent, it's redoubtable,
Commands respect and fear, it's formidable.
The austere appearance, bare, and bleak,
Makes me taciturn, too scared to speak.
This enervates me, I need sleep,
I need to abscond, hide out, I′m gonna sneak.
The desolate and deserted landscape,
Makes me wish I was at home eating mama′s pancakes.
I'm feeling despondent, yeah, hopeless,
I′m not the dopest, maybe just a dope.
I'm forlorn, I′m lonely, I have no hope,
At the end of my rope 'cause these are some . . .
Haunting raps . . .
What you think about that?
It′s a daunting task, but we're on to that.
I'm seeing nine black cats with teeth to match,
Savage beasts wearing feral masks.
These are haunting raps, what you think about that?
