I′m holding onto misguided veneer, altruistic veneer,
The crater filling my pride & self-worth to the brim.

Desperately shadowing my bleeding vulnerability.
I'm skimming my way as much as I can to hide my brokenness


This self-righteous blinding & yearning for a blissful confirmation
In place of meaning.
Content to contend with myself, albeit on dubious standards

Built on these compromises.
In the process losing out, looking at my pitiful self & numbing the guilt

Constantly ticking where I stray
Lumps in the throat, sprout up at this uneasy interval
The future teems with purposeless images, blurred & bleak.
When structures plague the entirety of my breath
But the devotion of pointing the blame...
