A Long Line Songtext

A Long Line Songtext
A long line from nowhere
Is inching to nowhere
I hang my head and I spit
And soon I′m stepping on it
This could be profound
Or the act of a serious clown
I loathe that back of the head
The skull's shape mirrors my dread
I loathe that breath on my neck
Outstretching humanoid neck
Hey evolution
We′re not the solution
Where will you direct us
To climb on the short bus?
The leader of our line
Is clicking his behind
And snapping his fingers without
The slightest reaction at all
A long line from nowhere
Is creeping along to nowhere
The landscape doesn't reflect
The hardship borne on this trek
My toenails jagged and chipped
Were once pink polka dot
Hey revolution
We're not the solution
Where will you banish us
Down under the surface?
The leader of our line
Is taking his sweet time
To fall off the edge of the earth
It′s gonna be crazy to see
Hear the cry of unfamiliar pain
Of a newborn child
Taking in the air
Taking in her mother
Taking in a small circle of this place
Maybe there′s still time
To hang up some new vines
To gussy up in green
The fallout of our dream
Maybe there's still time
To put it all behind
To sort of recreate
The original state
And quietly we′ll go
With violins in tow
If was it meant to be
Power up to hard R
Is inching to nowhere
I hang my head and I spit
And soon I′m stepping on it
This could be profound
Or the act of a serious clown
I loathe that back of the head
The skull's shape mirrors my dread
I loathe that breath on my neck
Outstretching humanoid neck
Hey evolution
