I woke up on the grass gazin up to the sun
Wondering how it all began
Well, my boots are cold and wet
But still I carry on
With my ears still ringing from the sound of Battledrums
Battledrums!

Now I see ravens picking at the corpses around
Don′t know who won, who lost, how long I lay passed out
Then I spit on the ground, raise my fist to the sky
Thank you, gods
That I am still alive

We were blind and naive
We felt strong we believed

Through the years the fight went on
Among kingdoms, between nations
No answer why this war

I remember the fortress where we slept last night
A real bed felt so good for a while
There's no time for self pity, there′s no point in regrets
Everyday is just another chance to die

Dreams of glory filled our hearts
Pain and worries stayed at last
