A soft stare of sympathy
Silk tears so delicate
A touch with rich melody
To paint me less intricate

With blood you study me
Pecking at me until I am raw
Got me bare and I can′t flee
That's when you sink in the claws

It burns
To think that this was all a ploy
That I was nothing more
A man you could destroy


But here I am standing still
Looking back at you now
How did you become so cruel
That it′s hurt you wish to sow

And nothing makes more sense
When searching for the truth
That once you were prey to worse
That made you into this wraith
