Whispers echoing the loss
Fading forgotten thoughts
Longing for the fading gloss

Wounds inflicted from within
On the remains of what had been

And apathy followed the grief
Poisoned dreams at the edge of the cliff
Fighting for something that does not exist
Cyclopean offering for a meaningless feat

Vanity drained the bitter tears
Smashed the walls that contained my fears
Forsaken tyrant in an empty domain
Aside from myself there was little to gain

This rough trail got me too close to the end
Trying to avoid the painful path to comprehend
Washing away the bleakness of my untold intents

Under the moonlit sky
My failures turned to life
All I had misapplied


Tearing the fabric of my reality
Unveiling my triviality

With everything unsealed
The cards were revealed
And they pulverized the shield

And stripped of my flesh
Exposed to the bone
I′m remade again

Chasing the wind
I arrived home
Opened the door
And the fire still burned

As the veil thinned
I saw the ghosts
Welcoming me
As their host

I see you sitting there
Reunited in the end
The smile on your face
That makes me want to lose myself in there


Chaotic motion, energy unleashed
Dreadful nature that can give or take
But you held my hands as we drowned
In that sea full of sunken ships

The absurd illusion of control
But you saw right through it all
And now I can understand
How the fire still... BURNS!
