Wake up every morning same script same lie
Clock on the wall tellin dreams to die
We trade our time for a paycheck smile
Golden cage living call it modern life
Screens keep flashing what to love what to hate
They sell fear in bulk put a price on fate
Education taught us how to obey
Not how to think just how to stay in our place

They dont need chains when the minds asleep
They dont need guards when we police our dreams
Everybody knows something aint right
But silence is easier than starting a fight


We′re all awake but were scared to move
Seeing the truth but we still approve
The system feeds on our comfort zone
We hate the cage but we call it home
Everybody talks bout breaking free
But when its time nobody leads
We scream freedom silently
Cause being different costs bravery

They label you crazy when you ask why
Programmed responses copy paste replies
Follow the trend dont question the source
They give you choices but they choose the course

Nine to five dreams six feet goals
Buy more stuff to fill the holes
If you dont fit they say you're lost
But being yourself got the highest cost

They trained us well to doubt our voice
Confused submission with having a choice
Truth feels heavy lies feel light
That′s why most people avoid the sight
