Storm clouds thundering in my ears when they told me
And we could have boarded the windows
And blocked all the doors
But it would have been useless

When your world loses its foundation
You close your eyes to the pieces
And anything left standing
Is only haunting

And I am so afraid to go on
I will not open my eyes
For too many unfamiliar tears

Yet still my cheeks are wet and yet my mouth is dry


But I don′t have much to say to anyone
And everything I get my hands on they always feel so empty
And I just want to hold you again

I stand on the bed to touch the ceiling
Are you watching me surrender to the floor

I want to kill these empty spaces created by you
And your being gone

And every day is spent remembering our lives together
Sometimes I forget and I have to start all over
And nothing smells much worse than the flowers they gave me after
Didn't you believe me when I said forever
And how long can I keep on grasping in the air
A sickening dance, only to fall again
