Winter moon
In the woods in the trees
Hand in hand after you
Wondrous freeze
Snow on our shoes
Your shivering knees
Over the river bridge to Saugerties

Cold as the moon and twice as bright
Thrill of a winter night


See the breath rise
Over ice in your lashes
Sparks in your eyes
Kindling and matches
Can′t say if heaven
Is the frost of desire
Or the thaw of a fire

Midnight hour
Running through the falling sleet
There's not a soul in town
Not a car out on the street
Up the stairs into your room
Pulling socks off our feet

Cold as the moon, twice as bright
Thrill of a winter night

Like a spotlight
Deepens the shadow
Winter moonlight
Streaming in through your window
Holding my breath holding you
Winter moon holding me
