Living makes it easy to close your eyes

Such a futile state of mind where the truth remains unspoken

While I strive to stay awake there are times when I grow weary
When the nights outlast the days and they never seem to fade
But the morning sun will shine and good hearts will not be broken
And to this my soul aspires, but the truth remains unspoken

Here lies the soul, killed in its sleep by the ones in control
Buried by pretense and lost in its grave
Unmarked and unmourned by all that it saved
Follow me outside and realise the spirit
Sacrificed by generations who fear it
