Goodbye My Friend Songtext
von Dwight McCall

You still act like you′re fifteen though you're going on thirty-five
Sometimes this life it ain′t easy getting by
But I knew that you'd keep dreaming till you found your pot of gold
You never ever intended to get old

When they'd say walk you′d just run the race
You never settled for second place at all
Sometimes you′d fall
When God came down and he took you away
You never thought you'd be missed this way I know
But I miss you so
Goodbye my friend till we meet up there again

Seems you always were searching for a place you couldn′t find
Another new beginning, another climb
If you could only see the hurt now on the ones you left behind
I know you wouldn't have took that last long ride

When they′d say walk you'd just run the race
You never settled for second place at all
Sometimes you′d fall
When God came down and he took you away
You never thought you'd be missed this way I know
But I miss you so
Goodbye my friend till we meet up there again

Goodbye my friend till we meet up there again
