The Riddle Princess Songtext

The Riddle Princess Songtext
The walls were sinister grey
On the top of a palace floated 49 flags
I had to watch the golden gate
And 49 flags fluttering blood red
Reminded me of 49 men
They were noble and rich and they came
To marry then to winch
But no one came out again
Well the 50th one was a layabout
Carrying a guitar
Looking obscure and proud
Seemed to come from far
"Me too, I want to meet that chick"
He said, shaking his hair
A dry leaf fell out of it
Onto the golden stair
His pants were faded and bronze in its holes his skin
I hesitated but then he scored and he missed
He jumped off of reality ball
And walked towards our ballroom
Where princesses rest and sat down
Secured on roof, waiting
The maiden saved her porcelain dishes
And her well-thumbed candlesticks
Shined to his left and to his right
Looking disgusted at his dirty feet
But leaving him the way he were free
But leaving him the way he were free
"What are you looking for?
Bloody riddled princess
What gave you the right
To cut 49 heads?
Was it your beauty
Or your high level?
Was it your bright mind?
I saw the devil
"For you I have no bow
I just came to heal you
I know what you need now
I solve all your riddles"
I suddenly found myself liking him
Watching in the door of the hall
His voice resounding from the walls
Noted this one must not get killed
There he stood, so tall, so strange
Above the whispering woman rage
Very still for an exciting while
Very still for an exciting while
Between his spread legs
I saw the lady′s handsome face
Anged to a secret smile
"Why don't you walk on the carpet?"
She asked, inspecting him
"You mixed between veinik and artist"
The man′s stupidity made me kill
Anyway, I'm afraid
You get no time to heal me
You seem quite self-confident
You need more than a widow
The big sense of mine
The most beautiful
Event I've ever seen
Now he jumped down to the floor
Gave her one single gulp out of a tiny flask
Watched her eyes as for more
Then slathered off his neck
And halved his hairy wrist
With a wonderous smile in style
But as he started to play the guitar
I heard my lungs break in two
The maiden stopped whispering
Never saw him this quiet
Even parrots and cadres
Were listening in silver cage
In the trees no rush
And no bells could get to ring
And sadness and solace
In a joining song for me
This was not only solving
The swaying prince′s eyes
But also my own soul
And I heard a silent cryOne night she left her royal rooms
And saw his face passing her by
A face so wise, so wild
Illusion yet to fall
Required this nature′s child
To show her what is life
Outside the palace gates
Required a heart
To make her fall in love
She laughed as sweetly
Song dying away
But asked if what she heard
Was one of her new plays
A fellow wrote this melody
So you could come and you could go
Maybe to the Eden of Paris
To find a bit of market place
Anywhere
But in Paris
Where the words are princes
Nobody touched by a wildness
That once induced my heart
Instead to flow with
Instead of blow
On the top of a palace floated 49 flags
I had to watch the golden gate
And 49 flags fluttering blood red
Reminded me of 49 men
