Burnout Songtext

Life gave me lemons, made honey and ginger tea
Wrote down my intentions, got right with the Elohim
Took naps in the daytime
Stretched my legs my mental playtime
Shrugged off the weight on my shoulders
Took stock what′s on my plates mine
Gratitude gratitude gratitude
I heard on the grapevine
Schoolyards to graveyards in what's left of Palestine
Gratitude gratitude gratitude
I need rest to make time
Revolutionary but godly
Embody that with a great mind would be beautiful
But difficult, in a world so corrupt
No wonder the righteous doers had to hide it in the occult
Double sided sword in the shadows where they got their thumbs pricked
I′ve been trying to stand in the light
So they got my thumb prints... am I a dumb kid?
Speaking out in a thousand and one tongues
With only one wish
I shiver to call it humanist, universalist
Interdimensional
All I seed is love, anarchist like Jesus was
Please don't let me burn out
I been struggling on my knees,
please let me learn how
To uncover my uncomfortable being
Let me be humble without being too humiliated
Who am I to choose in which vessels your grace gets inundated
Elevated, allow me to be innovative
Without evading or invading
I been vader, trying to breathe vedic
Feed vagrants, leave space vacant
Return vapor to leaves, the burn fragrant

Gratitude
I been trying to look within
Gratitude
I been trying to get out of this place they want to put me in
Gratitude

The antidote to depression
If only was so simple
I'm on the road to the essence
Or is that just a dimple?
Form fitting dress on the devil
Got me sentimental
Omitting details like attachments in an email
Or return adresses on letters
Might be going mental
Back in the body oh ego
Get off your pedestal
Awfully pitiful, seeing self as detestable
To think I′m vegan, I used to neglect my vegetables...
