Getting on Board Songtext
von Don Nix

This ain′t no joke
Even though I'm laughing
This ain′t no dream
I'm not sleeping
This time it's for real
It′s really happening

My ship′s come in
And I'm getting on board
I′m getting on board
I'm walking up the plank
I′m getting on board
I got the Lord to thank
Thank you Jesus
For hearing me when I pray
My ship's come in
And I′m sailing away

I've been down
Down in the gutter
I've been lost
Like a ship without a rudder
Now I′m found
Let me tell you brother

My ship′s come in
And I'm getting on board
I′m getting on board
I'm walking up the plank
I′m getting on board
I got the Lord to thank
Thank you Jesus
For hearing me when I pray
My ship's come in
And I′m sailing away

Gotta keep your eyes on the horizon
Never give up, never quit trying
And one of these days your ship will be arriving
You can get on board
You can sail away

I'm getting on board
I'm walking up the plank
I′m getting on board
I got the Lord to thank
Thank you Jesus
For hearing me when I pray
My ship′s come in
And I'm sailing away

I′m getting on board
I'm walking up the plank
I′m getting on board
I got the Lord to thank
Thank you Jesus
For hearing me when I pray
My ship's come in
And I′m sailing away
My ship's come in
And I'm getting on board
