your personality Songtext

your personality Songtext
I change my personality
To those I wanna be (those I wanna be)
Everybody′s trying to write my story
Without me (without me, baby)
I wanna change my fate
Make my own destiny
On my feelings, they sleep
I'm seeing forty-two sheep
I see the Milky Way Galaxy
Seeing the stars, they shine so far away from me
Makes me wish I had more friends that I could pretend to be
I get no calls at night, a fright to behold
I wish I had someone to hold me
But I can′t let myself cry in front of people
I want to go home, to find myself
But I fear my feelings will break you like the time I broke my shelf
I looked for what's wrong in others
That I failed to see what truly matters
That I don't know who or what I am at all
So you see that I′m struggling with my current identity
I′m not happy, I'm not Naethan nor am I CCB
I′m overthinking everything all over again
Wondering if it'll even be worth it in the end
I change my personality
To those I wanna be (those I wanna be)
Everybody′s trying to write my story
Without me (without me, baby)
I wanna change my fate
Make my own destiny
On my feelings, they sleep
I'm seeing forty-two sheep
I′m crafting my thoughts carefully but I still end up echoing
What others say to me, honestly, it's harrowing
The path I'm walking keeps narrowing
My words steal life away when I speak
So I try never to make even a squeak
Cause I know I′m seen as a freak
That causes people to shriek and screak
It seems I only make people scream
So see my dreams, please, they go out of fashion like CDs
People think I′m sociopathic because I don't show sympathy
And while I know I lack empathy
That doesn′t mean I don't have compassion
There′s work behind the passion that they don't show on the TVs
I don′t want to incite fear wherever I go
I tend to think of what to say only when it's way too late, so
I change my personality
To those I wanna be (those I wanna be)
Everybody's trying to write my story
Without me (without me, baby)
I wanna change my fate
Make my own destiny
On my feelings, they sleep
I′m seeing forty-two sheep
It′s a strange tale, really, about how I got here
I don't have much time to go into greater detail
A story that was in the making over the course of a decade
I can′t say enough in twelve bars, so I'm envious of blues writers
They get it done in fewer lines, with only their minds to aid
Playing their cigar guitars, lacking exciters
Still acting as lighters for dark times
In the confines of what entwines in their head
Openly expressing the common yearning to be dead
One day, on a roll, the next, can′t think of any rhymes
So is it any wonder at all that bearing my soul is so hard
But disregard my charred heart, as I bombard my scarred life
As I change to fit in, problems arise when
I change my personality
To those I wanna be (those I wanna be)
Everybody's trying to write my story
Without me (without me, baby)
I wanna change my fate
Make my own destiny
On my feelings, they sleep
I′m seeing forty-two sheep
To those I wanna be (those I wanna be)
Everybody′s trying to write my story
Without me (without me, baby)
