The Garden Songtext

The Garden Songtext
Your front gate was open
I fell so in love with the weeds and the roses
Tip-toed for a moment
Time stopped, couldn′t hold it
I just didn't know it
Now I blink
And I feel a little older
The rocks don′t look like boulders anymore
And I think
What makes it even harder
Is there's no amount of water I could pour
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
But I'm right back where I started
So cut me dry ′cause now I have to go
There′s nowhere left to grown
In this garden
It lost all its magic
New roots, old habits
Don't know how it happened
I just kept digging
I feel so guilty
But something′s missing
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
But I'm right back where I started
So cut me dry ′cause now I have to go
There's nowhere left to grown
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
Guess that I might′ve got it
So cut me dry 'cause now I have to go
There's nowhere left to grow
In this garden
I was green
Thought the wind blew one direction
And I′m still learning lessons all the time
So I′ll leave
And I don't know where I′m going
But it's time for me to grow before I die
I′ll be fine
I fell so in love with the weeds and the roses
Tip-toed for a moment
Time stopped, couldn′t hold it
I just didn't know it
Now I blink
And I feel a little older
The rocks don′t look like boulders anymore
And I think
What makes it even harder
Is there's no amount of water I could pour
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
But I'm right back where I started
So cut me dry ′cause now I have to go
There′s nowhere left to grown
In this garden
It lost all its magic
New roots, old habits
Don't know how it happened
I just kept digging
I feel so guilty
But something′s missing
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
But I'm right back where I started
So cut me dry ′cause now I have to go
There's nowhere left to grown
In this garden
Thought I found what I wanted
Guess that I might′ve got it
So cut me dry 'cause now I have to go
There's nowhere left to grow
In this garden
I was green
Thought the wind blew one direction
And I′m still learning lessons all the time
So I′ll leave
And I don't know where I′m going
But it's time for me to grow before I die
I′ll be fine
