In search for a long-lost time
A desperate run against the clock
Contemplating this horrid contingency
With a dead-eye stare
A mute mass of errors
I try to retrace my path
Yet the thread has been broken

I′ve never felt this urgency in me
I try not to cave in to disbelief
While the lies we've been fed keep on shattering
One after another

Spiralling back
Into the patterns I thought I′d breach
We had this coming
Ripe is the time to reap the whirlwind

Our certitudes entombed in debris

Finding solace in the one true knowledge
All shall pass eventually
I am but a transient creature
Striving to make a difference
