Damariscotta Songtext

Damariscotta Songtext

Long was the day
Shallow was the grave
As he walked through the cold streets alone
The blood from her kiss
Left a stain on his lips
And sent a chill through his bones

Dead in the war
Lost to the world
Abandoned by those he adored
His life under siege
And to die on your knees
He walks through the valley alone

Wolves in the garden on prowl
A rose hangs dead
From one′s mouth
Let the prey
Choose it's fate
Through it′s fear

All through the night comes the hounds
The sound of their feast goes on for hours
And the screams
Of their prey
Never ends

A six foot pine box
Tossed to the rocks
Burned at the stake with no trial
With your knife in my back
This night just wont last
And the blood trailed on for miles

Wind never blows
Snow never falls
Her voice doesn't sing from the hills
But days still go on
Where it all turned out wrong
May all that is gone haunt you still

Wolves in the garden on prowl
A rose hangs dead
From one's mouth
Let the prey
Choose it′s fate
Through it′s fear

And all through the night comes the hounds
The sound of their feast goes on for hours
And the screams
Of their prey
Never ends
