Weekend Affair Songtext
von Dead Flowers

Cross my heart this was not planned
I jumped into the scene
I was lonely and I had a drink too much
We did some hours in your bed
That′s all there is to me
So how come you look so deadly serious

Well I must have spoken touchy words
A drunk romantic fool
In a sentimental corner
Anyway
I realize you bought my lies
And took it for the truth
But I'm sorry girl I′ll never gonna stay

Cause when the first sign of the daylight's coming in
There is always something pushing me
Driving me to leave
When the story's coming to the end I get out of the tale
Never mind your riches babe
My freedom′s not for sale

So don′t be weeping when I go
It ain't worth it anyway
I′m not the man you knew the other night
A weekend affair is enough for me
I never gonna stay
When Mondays comes I'm fading outta sight

Cause when the first sign of the daylight′s coming in
There is always something pushing me
Driving me to leave
When the story's coming to the end I get out of the tale
Never mind your riches babe
My freedom′s not for sale

Cause when the first sign of the daylight's coming in
There is always something pushing me
Driving me to leave
When the story's coming to the end I get out of the tale
Never mind your riches babe
My freedom′s not for sale
