But it′s hard to find a patron
When art itself is a dying art

I thought poetry might save me
From the cruelty of time
But I know now it can only
Slow it down for a while
And when the undertaker finds me
Out on the frozen path
He can't get the happy ending
I′ll be blessed enough to have

I will look back and be proud

Well they say the past is prologue
And history reveals
We've been wrestling with the same old themes
Of love, freedom, and fear
Since the dawn of our forever
Can we get our minds around
Our potential and our purpose
Before the stars burn out?
