Red Bicycle Songtext

Red Bicycle Songtext

I′d like my very own bicycle
I'd like it to be red
I′m sick of borrowing my brother's
I'd like my own instead
And I′ve been thinking very hard
And I′ve decided walking's too slow
′Cause when you've got your very own

Got your very own bicycle
There′s no limit to where you can go

I'd like my very own bicycle
With a bell on the handlebars
I think I′d start off nice and slow and nice and steady
Wouldn't go too far away from my house
But when I got better at riding on my bicycle
I'd go and find some icicles in Antarctica
And I wouldn′t feel the cold ′cause I'm not old like my granny
With the heating on all day long

Well, my sister rides a tricycle
And yes, I guess that′s nice and all, but not for me
Because the best number of wheels pushed around by my heels
Is two, not three

Well, my parents drive a car
And all they do is moan

I think they'd be much more content
And their time would be better spent
If they just stayed at home
Or better still, bought lots of bicycles for all our family

Because the best number of wheels pushed around by our heels
Would be two, four, six, eight, ten
Twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen
Twenty wheels means ten lots of bicycles
And they would all be red
I′d never have to catch a bus again
I'd ride my bike instead

Ten lots of bicycles
And they would all be red
My mum and dad could sell the car
And ride their bikes instead
