Pay Lake Songtext

Pay Lake Songtext

Pay late

We′ve been watching the clock all afternoon
If the eagle screamed now it wouldn't be too soon
See me and my buddy got a place to go
Five bucks will get you in a fishing hole

Talkin′ 'bout pay late
And get your night crawlers
Pay late
Get up in some holler
All you need is a line and a hook and cane pole
Bring a bucket of beer down to the old pay late

We got spinners and spoons, poppers and jigs
All night milk-juggin' catfish and pigs
If that don′t do it we′ll do it up right
Blow 'em belly up with dynamite

Talkin′ 'bout pay late
And get your night crawlers
Pay late
Get up in some holler
All you need is a line and a hook and cane pole
Bring a bucket of beer down to the old pay late

Well one of these days I′m gonna have enough dough
To rent a bulldozer and an old backhoe
Cut a hole in the field, hang my sign
A little rain water and I'll have mine

Talkin′ 'bout pay late
And get your night crawlers
Pay late
Get up in some holler
All you need is a line and a hook and cane pole
Bring a bucket of beer down to the old pay late
Pay late
And get your night crawlers
Pay late
Get up in some holler
All you need is a line and a hook and cane pole
Bring a bucket of beer down to the old pay late
