Mary drew a picture. It took a long long time
All the different reasons for all the different lines
Winter greys and golden days. Nothing left behind

Look closely feel the laughter of the children at their games
As they ran to her shelter before the winter came
All the shady corners where the sun refused to shine

But through it all across the page she spread a gentle light
To show that everything would heal in time

Where things like love and memories they never dim with age
We keep them deep within our hearts each memory we find

I know that everything does heal in time
