Going Home Songtext

Going Home Songtext

I wake up, Christmas day

Back home, you miss that place
Might open your eyes to your sister′s face
Feel it filling the black hole that distance makes
Felt lonely, haven't said it before
Even with her best friends and chatting and talk
Still find herself lost and imagine the floor
As deep lava, swallow her up just to pause

Make a sound, go and sing it out
Make the biggest sound within a silent crowd
But inside she′s screaming, keeping it down
Wears a quiet frown when no one's around

Calling SOS, come find me
What do you mean? Life's passing right by me
The only one feeling lost in the nightly
Gripped to your pillow, stuck to its height

I′m going home, that place where I′m never alone
I'm going home, that place where I′m never alone
That place where I'm never alone
I′m going home, that place where I'm never alone

Used to take long walks on the beach
Finding her feet with deep prints in the sand

Skip stones through the waves of the waters
You find yourself at peace with the earth in your hands
You might find her sitting in silence
Lost in a room that′s a little tired
How much calm came from so much violence?
See her on her own just keeping it quiet

And being honest, she was feeling alone
Out with her friends but still on her own

Fake a smile with a happier tone
Till she walked that road to a place called home
And back there she'd find herself
Back in her roots with toys on the shelf
So returning home might happen to help
When you're a little bit lost and alone with yourself

I′m going home, that place where I′m never alone
I'm going home, that place where I′m never alone
That place where I'm never alone
I′m going home, that place where I'm never alone
