On Monday Songtext
von Dan Andriano

On Monday Songtext

Trying to get home from a place so far away
But fairy tales ain′t got nothing on this place
Didn't get a little help from my friends or the architect
And I ended up in space with some off-size emblems
They keep on dropping hints, but I don′t pick 'em up
A couple pennies on the floor, I say you call that luck
Don't think I′m gonna make it, just know that I′ve tried
I tried so hard to please everyone, my face got tired
I got so weak, I can't even reach my own front door
Or am I still beating there, out on my porch?

Hear it say

I′m sorry that I missed you on Monday
My body fell apart and then it led right in my way
I got no big stories to tell
No, I'm not there and back from Hell
But I blew it this time and I missed you on Monday

They′re trying me like a jury and I can't draw my defense
All you got is a story, don′t even care if it makes sense
And I'm handcuffed to this bench, but
I'm the one robbed of all my strength
No, I′m not giving up, but it sure feels that way
Is it funny this shit happens almost every time
Or just sad as Hell ′cause I still play along?

Either way

I'm sorry that I missed you on Monday
My body fell apart and then it led right in my way
I got no big stories to tell
No, I′m not there and back from Hell
But I blew it this time and I missed you on Monday

Sorry that I missed you on Monday
My body fell apart and then it led right in my way
I got no big stories to tell
No, I'm not there and back from Hell
But I blew it this time and I missed you on Monday
