Pious intentions were not so true, concealing tainted ambitions.
Under the banner of a foreign symbol, the deceivers claimed peace but schemed in secret.
To arrogate our lustrous stones, we would have to die.

They came, they conquered. The slaughtered the masses.
Dark times of peril; our empire would vanish.
A river of red from the blood of our dead flows freely as our city crumbles.


They came ashore, gods in the flesh fulfilling the prophecy.
Offerings made had a seductive embrace, sealing our own demise.
The seasons changed and light shone through but far too late for fate to skew.
A battle was fought with swords and air. Despite our odds, we would fall.
