On the wolf′s claws bared and the eagle's chest
On Gungnir's point and the horse′s breast
On glass and on gold and on goodly charms
In wine and in beer and the coat of arms
On protecting shield and on mountain′s peak
On the nails of the Norns and the night-owl's beak
Hagalaz, purest of grains, she′s hailed
Through the storm, from a heaven unveiled
By tempestuous winds, she's impelled
And, at last, into icy water compelled
Nauthiz weighs heavily, a burden we all wear
Yet she offers salvation, a solace so rare


Urging men out of life′s bitter snare
When sought in time, she answers the prayer
Isa, gleaming with crystal might
Shines like gems in a glacial light
A field covered in frost-pure white
Blinding vision so lethally bright
