I was lying in my bed
When a big drip of water fell into the middle of my head
From the ceiling it came a-tumbling down
Drippity drip, drip, drip, drip
And it made this funny sound

I was so tired I wanted to get back to sleep
But another big drip of water started to drip on my feet

Well I finally managed to fall asleep
But you′ll never guess what happened
Another drip came falling down
And it fell into my belly button
From the ceiling it came a-tumbling down

So that is why when I go to bed
I wear my raincoat instead of pajamas
Hiding under my umbrella too
I try to avoid the dripping dramas
But from the ceiling it still comes a-tumbling down
Drippity drip, drip, drip, drip
I can still hear that funny sound
It goes
