Lay Down Your Arms Songtext
von Craig Smith

Lay down your arms, little man
Lay down your arms
Lay down, mmm, lay down
Lay down your arms, little man
Bombs and trenches are all in a row
Peace negotiations seem to be a little slow
While the rockets and mortars are raining from the sky
And someone′s mother's screaming, "Why, why, why?"
Were you not hugged enough when you were a boy?
Now you teach a new generation to kill and destroy
So lay down your arms, little man
Lay down your arms
Lay down, mmm, lay down
Lay down your arms, little man

You thought we would have learned by now
It′s just history repeating
Oh, how did we end up like this?
Killing one another
Murdering children, sisters and brothers
Were you not hugged enough when you were a boy?
Now you teach a new generation to kill and destroy
So lay down your arms, little man
Lay down your arms
Lay down, mmm, lay down
Lay down your arms, little man
I said, lay down your arms, little man
I said, lay down your arms, little man
I said, lay down your arms, little man
