Highway Songtext
von Claire Lynch

California coastline with its never-ending sunshine
And its Anita sprees sounds so good to me
I might head out to the Rockies, got an old friend there from college
We′ll stay up all night and talk about old times
Well, I couldn't make him love me and so the story ends
Say a bittersweet goodbye and turn these wheels into the wind

Highway, you don′t know where you're going
You're just rolling from sea to sea
Highway, you don′t know about love
I guess you could say you′re a lot like me, highway

If we feel the need to slow down, we can search out any small town
Hear the church bells chime while we have the time
Then it's back to faded white lines, chasing daylight in the nighttime
Looking up ahead and trying to forget
My heart has got to move on, this much I know is true
I don′t have a destination, I'll leave that up to you

Highway, you don′t know where you're going
You′re just rolling from sea to sea
Highway, you don't know about love
I guess you could say you're a lot like me, highway

My heart has got to move on, this much I know is true
I don′t have a destination, I′ll leave that up to you
Highway, you don't know where you′re going
You're just rolling from sea to sea
Highway, you don′t know about love
I guess you could say you're a lot like me, highway

Highway, you don′t know where you're going
You're just rolling from sea to sea
Highway, you don′t know about love
I guess you could say you′re a lot like me, highway
