Love Note Songtext
von Chubb+Bits

I left a note on the kitchen counter
Nothing fancy, just a few lines long
I said I love you and I′m glad you're in my life
And I′m sorry that I left before the coffee was done

You texted me a photo of it later
Said you read it three times before you moved
And something about knowing that I wrote it
Just to say I did, not to be reviewed

This is my love note
Nothing polished, nothing planned
This is my love note
Written by an ordinary hand
Not roses or a restaurant reservation
Not a grand gesture or a speech
This is my love note
The everyday kind
That says I see you
That says you're mine
This is my love note to you

I drew a small heart in the margin of your notebook
Just so you'd find it in the middle of your day
I sent a voice note on a Wednesday just because
I had two minutes and something to say

Because love isn′t only for the milestones
It doesn′t wait for the perfect moment to arrive
Love is a Tuesday note on the counter
Love is how we choose to keep it alive

This is my love note
Nothing polished, nothing planned
This is my love note
Written by an ordinary hand
Not roses or a restaurant reservation
Not a grand gesture or a speech
This is my love note
The everyday kind
That says I see you
That says you're mine
This is my love note to you

Keep all the little ones
The texts, the scraps, the small
Because the love note that says nothing big
Might mean the most of all

Love note
Just for you
Love note
Always true
This is my love note
To you
