Lying on the lap of God
Strewn out like a carpet
Contented in the raw
Abiding by persistence
Perfection in a pan
Uprooting after planting
Absent the tools in hand

The latest bloomer
In such an early disguise
And when no sooner
Tears fall from on high


Wayward west I found you
I sensed your presence here
Combing cliffs, in the finest ′drome
I've chased you all these years
In the chasm of your footprints
Grave as a mourning dove
Charading my existence
Undermining love

The subtle cessation
Every thought to the brave
Buried beneath what you are
And what you pledge to change
The latest bloomer
In such an early disguise
And nothing comes much sooner
As the tears pour from your eyes
