Like I Did Songtext

Like I Did Songtext
The day I mugged an old lady
Was the day that ruined my life
I was in a big gang of skinheads
They were very good friends of mine
We were thick, thick as three planks of wood
And we did it just because we could
The night I pissed on her mattress
Was a moment of disbelief
When I woke up cold in the morning
She didn′t look happy with me
And I fell into bed like a stone
I wept to bed, oh but at least I got home
Back in the day when I was young
I thought that life was just for fun
I thought I was invincible
But all that had to change
I still think I'm impossible
But maybe not as strange
As I was back in the day
The day I punched you in Harrods
Was a day that I won′t forget
I was removed by a man and a woman
I was totally out of my head
And I'm sorry I acted that way
But all of it was back in the day
Back in the day when I was young
I thought that life was just for fun
I thought I was invincible
But all that had to change
I still think I'm impossible
But maybe not as strange
As I was back in the day
The day I threw up in a matchbox
Was bizarre beyond any doubt
I′d been at a bottle of Teacher′s
I was trying not to let it flow out
I was drunk but with OCD
What on earth was the matter with me?
So here I am, I'm as soft as cream
And I′m still living my improbable dream
I thought I was invincible
But all that had to change
I still think I'm impossible
But maybe not as strange
As back in the day when I was young
I thought that life was just for fun
I thought I was invincible
But all that had to change
I still think I′m impossible
But maybe not as strange
As I was back in the day
Back in the day
Back in the day
Was the day that ruined my life

Back in the day
Back in the day
