I′ve been struggling to breath today
Empty lungs but words to say
I medicate to numb the pain
And hope that I don't fade away

In case you heard I′m doing better now
It's only 'cos I′ve learned to hide away
I was hoping that tonight we could pretend like we′re only seventeen
Without problems only dreams
I've been trying but it′s hard for me

I'm finding out that it′s only getting harder
I find it tough cos my body's getting older
I thought by now there′d be something I'd be proud of
Drowning in doubt, that's all I ever do now
I guess I′m burning out

I feel so worthless, it′s getting to me
Everyday is just another dose of apathy
But if you could see what is happening
Maybe you might feel some sympathy
