Blush Songtext

Blush Songtext

While the kinfolk blessed her grave
Saying farewell and setting right
The old man shut his heart away from mending
He withered through his days
Withered through his nights
Withered like the ground he should have been tending

Built a castle for the one he loved
Tended the ground in their light
Lost all reason
And blush turned to white
While the views of company
And the kin that was so tight
The old man set his will and sights on dying
As his young′uns was giving birth
Giving new hope upon this earth
His selfish heart left that newborn in denying

Couldn't share the pain for the one he loved
Or open his heart or mind
Lost all reason
And blush turned to white

Then an angel of the Lord came and woke the old man
Opened his eyes by the spirit in his hand
Saying "Do right, father, ones you still love
Let the gone′s be gone and fly above
Won't you look outside, see who's tending your land
Your friends and kin lending loving hands
Go and do right, father, ones you love
Let the gone′s be gone and fly above"
