get a grip! Songtext
von Caroline Dare

I thought it was common sense
To not break your promises
Commit and you stick to them
You keep backing out of it
The very last minute
Thought i was important

You never put me first
You push me to the back burner
Don′t you see i'm hurting
Cause it feels like
I don′t matter
To you & you would rather
Spend your time elsewhere

Get a grip on it
Like you really want it
Or else you're gonna figure out
I won't stick around
If you don′t get a grip on it
Show me you really want it
Or you′ll be missing me so bad
Lose me just like that
Get a grip on it
Get a grip on it

The only thing that i want
Is to see the good in ya
But i don't see you showing up
Potential gets my hopes up
Cause i see you giving up
You try but don′t do enough

You never put me first
You push me to the back burner
Don't you see i′m hurting
Cause it feels like
You take me for granted
Im taken advantage
Of for being right there

Get a grip on it
Like you really want it
Or else you're gonna figure out
I won′t stick around
If you don't get a grip on it
Show me you really want it
Or you'll be missing me so bad
Lose me just like that
Get a grip on it
Get a grip on it

I can′t keep waiting, hoping, giving, killing myself
You′re finding every reason to be somewhere else
Best of luck to try to make it up somehow
And i hope that you'll do it
If you want me, you′ll prove it
I'm here for you but you don′t even meet me halfway
You forget & don't live up to half the shit that you say
It′s gotta change, i won't take anything less
Not gonna wait, figure eight my way around your mess

Get a grip on it
Like you really want it
Or else you're gonna figure out
I won′t stick around
If you don′t get a grip on it
Show me you really want it
Or you'll be missing me so bad
Lose me just like that
Get a grip on it
Get a grip on it
Get a grip on it
Get a grip on it
