Scrap Pile Songtext
von Bruce Evans

Scrap Pile Songtext

There′s a place where things are brought to an end
A place you put all the used after you've twisted and bent
In this field of all that rust and decay
You strip the things that are good
And crush the things in the way

When the gates of all the things that you claim
Open up they reveal a human junkyard of pain
And the waters lies polluted and vile
Because you′ve got what you wanted
Now it's gonna end up on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile

There's a silence that you′ve grown to ignore
A subtle science of waste
That′s seeping up from the floor
Like a ditch that doesn't take it away
You are so clogged up with crap
You drown the rats and the strays
Down at the scrap pile
Down at the scrap pile
Down at the scrap pile

And then you crush me
Like an anaconda
And then you crush me
Squish-ity squish
And when you crush me
Flatter than a pancake
It′s lonely, so lonely
Even at the top of the scrap pile

So I know you're gonna melt me all down
I′d better dry out my eyes before the rust hits the ground
From your jaws into the shredder I'll be
And you′re the magnet that's pulling all that's precious from me

Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile

Tow me in and put my corpse up on blocks
And send the vultures to strip all my vital parts
′Cause there′s a place where things are brought to an end
So crush my soul in your psyche
And shred the things that I like
And put my bits on a belt
And heat me up till I melt
And pour me out like a goo
'Cause when I harden who knew
That I′ll be stronger than you

Here on top of the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile

Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
Out on the scrap pile
