Hometown Songtext
von Brian Green

Haha, bring it on

Well let me show you, you didn′t have a clue
Whatever false is true, cause this is how I do

Always coming smooth, when I show and prove
I gotta kick a style just to make your body move
If you had doubts, check the flow to make you bounce
It's the thoughts of a genius when you listen to my sound

It ain′t profound, I rarely use it in my music
It speaks for itself so I don't have to prove it
All my siblings could hear things filled with knowledge
If you in high school or cooling at the college
I demolish, with the beauty and the beats
Cause all the negativity will just have to cease
Or stop, that's the power of my hip-hop
The top is where I′m headed, yeah I said it
So don′t jock for your props cause I won't sweat it
But if you with it from the jump, you won′t regret it

Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown while the mass crack a frown?
Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown, town, town?

Sometimes I wonder, cause I'm under a lot of pressure
With gangs, robbers, and child fucking molesters
Ain′t nobody fresher on the M-I-C
I kick 16 bars on the solo creep
Cause it's The B, once again me and my friend
Kamaal for all of y′all, you know I had to grab the pen
Where do I begin? Oh I think I'll start here
We appear, flowing through your hemisphere
Well next up to bat is The B ripping tracks

Never coming rough and my styles is still phat
I keep it on the low cause the flow be going steady
Sometimes I gotta hold it in cause people ain't ready
Well I′m the holy, the one and only, Kamaal the Great
And if you ain′t got the tape, you might be too late
Cause in the place to be, it's just B-Dog and me

We kicking out lyrics just so gracefully, but

Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown while the mass crack a frown?
Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown, town, town?

K on a plateau, with rap flows by the dozens
You coulda thought I wasn′t, but talking don't mean nothing

Let me tell you something cause I know you feel the groove

I got the kind of beats that′ll make your body move
But back on track, to some vocals and some raps
We been around the world and this is the comeback
To the west, the vibe is fresh and yes
We got beaches and girls and the weather is the best
But unless you haven't been you can′t comprehend
It rarely rains in Porsche but for sure we feel the wind

Since a kid, my decision was precision
Tight techniques to coincide with the rhythm
I decided to write it, put it down in song mode
You know I drop it soon so it don't get old
But at night, it might get slightly cold
So I tightly hold my girl and put the world on froze, but

Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown while the mass crack a frown?
Have you ever wondered what was going down
In your hometown, town, town?

I got the formula, I'm warning ya, I turned it up a notch

Watch how I put a stop to your props

Cause I′m for sure, you can′t ignore
The vocals pumping through your pores
So get up off your ass and hit the dance floor
I'm very clever, in whatever I endeavour
The problem could be tough or getting rough like leather
This is how it goes down on the west now
Well there′s finally a smooth MC so you must bow
Check it out, I take ya to another level

So bump the bass, adjust the treble
That might be helpful to you whack MCs
Now cut me some slack please

Cause on them corny styles, it's Kamaal and The B
It′s '95 and I′ve arrived upon the scene
Didn't mean to intervene when we letting off steam
I meditate and create like the scriptures
I'm drawn like Picasso but some don′t get the picture

Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
Have you ever wondered what was going down?
