The rain doesn′t fall in drops, but in lines of liquid
Lines of impure and burning tears
That slowly eats away at my sinking metropolis
I'm drowning as I snort in these lines of rain
Not involuntarily
It's so much a part of being here
That it falls unnoticed perhaps Ignored perhaps
A foggy day in London town
Humid and frightening
There′s something in the steaming atmosphere
Perhaps the ghost of coming, waiting to happen
My eyes sting, wanting to close
