Bye In A Goodbye Songtext
von Braxton Keith

Bye In A Goodbye Songtext

I drank one after work when I got in my car
Two before I even got to this bar
Three guaranteed that your memory wouldn′t be hard to find
Four in the jukebox by that old dance floor
Gets me five deep and I can't blame me anymore
Six drinks and I know I′m no longer legal to drive

She'll be gliding across a dusty old bar
Spinning around like we've done before
She′s holding him close, I′ll be holding that drink
Hoping that she's gonna come back to me
Hell, I know the truth, it ain′t hard to find
She puts the move in 'move on′ and the bye in a 'goodbye′

Thought our tab was open, guess I oughta close it
When I get to the house, you know what I'll crack open
Another six-pack to put her in the back of my mind
In them old neon lights

She'll be gliding across a dusty old bar
Spinning around like we′ve done before
She′s holding him close, I'll be holding that drink
Hoping that she′s gonna look back and think
Hell, I know the truth, it ain't hard to find
She puts the move in ′move on' and the bye in a ′goodbye'

When I lay down my head on this old empty bed
And I try to drift off to sleep

She'll be gliding across a dusty old bar
Spinning around like we′ve done before
She′ll be holding him close, I'll be holding that drink
Hoping that she′s gonna look back and think
Hell, I know the truth, it ain't hard to find
She puts the move in ′move on' and the bye in a ′goodbye'

Hell, she puts the move in 'move on′ and the bye in a ′goodbye'
